What am I watching? Almost nothing. BIG BROTHER, fortunately, has kicked up a notch. Out went MIKEY(who doesn't look disimilar to INSPECTOR GADGET); SUSIE(who doesn't look disimilar to a cup of tea); IMOGEN(who doesn't look disimilar to an effin' slutbag) and in came (to the house next door)LEA (complete with the oilies and a 'month's worth of cock', her words not mine); GRACE (humility? anyone?); MIKEY (didn't we just get rid of him?) and, wait for it, you guessed it, NIKKI. It was most amusing. Eventually NIKKI (complete with ballbag of a forehead) got picked to go back in which meant that GRACIE!!!! got booted out on her 21st birthday to the cries of "Get Grace Out!". I'm not a venomous person but someone should see to that girl.....
So NIKKI and PETE were reunited. He had spoken of her earlier in the week declaring, almost, his love for her. Aw, bless. Interestingly, he revealed his mother was one of the violinists in THE COMMUNARDS, how strange! This is now the final week and remember when I predicted PETE would win way back in my first post? Well, if you don't you can go and check.
Darling Nikki, Lee Evans & Dis-Grace (still funny), yesterday
WHO-wise, they've just finished filming the Christmas special, click HERE for news on that. They have started filming Season Three with the new companion, check HERE for that story. It's all very exciting. Nice, if anything, to have a new series. The Beeb site posted some new promo shots and, sadly, Freema's first outing is overshadowed by the Doc's new suit!
Look, a new suit!
I'm keeping away from spoilers this time but there's a few bits of casting news - SARAH PARISH(co-starred with TENNANT in BLACKOOL) is to star in the Christmas special and ZOE LUCKER(FOOTBALLERS WIVES!! Yikes!!) is to return as the 'evil' Timelord, THE RANI. Interestingly, one if the upcoming DVDs in the release schedule is the 'classic' (it's not, it's pish) MARK OF THE RANI. This does seem to confirm that the Doc is not the last of his people......
New-look Rani and a vision of the future?
Cinema-wise, I went to see CARS (very disappointing - a poor effort from PIXAR) and MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND. The latter was okay, some stout work from UMA THURMAN, ANNA FARIS and EDDIE IZZARD. The same cannot be said for LUKE"Dead Eyes"WILSON.
Uma, Anna & "Dead Eyes", yesterday
Music-wise, got the new CD from THE PUPPINI SISTERS - totally ace. Great versions of "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush(remember her?)and "Panic" by The Smiths. Also got PICARESQUE by THE DECEMBERISTS. An odd album for sure and it stinks of Morrissey but very enjoyable nonetheless. Forgot to mention last time that I got a new guitar, it's got a built in tuner! What times we live in. My father came to see on his way to GAIRLOCH. We had beers. Speaking of new jobs. I started last week and most days have ended up in the pub at 5, at the illustrious surroundings of The Bobbin. Bumped into my Film Studies lecturer and she says she's leaving. Me and the Pres, RICHARD MILLER, wrote a song called MILK which i hope to record very soon. The guys at the Student Association have asked THE PORRIDGY to play in Freshers' Week on the Thursday. Remember the STAR WARS drink driving ad from my last post? Well here's another similar advert.... Too funny.
The Moscow State Circus was up here the other day but they had to shut down after a day.
