FUTURAMA IS BACK!!! (Well, nearly)
The world of TV is bleak at the moment but I'll get to that soon enough. First up, as always, some news from the world of DOCTOR WHO. Gossip-wise, THIS story caught my eye. SIR BEN KINGSLEY as DAVROS? Interesting if true, but it was taken from THE SUN do don't hold your breath. KENNETH BRANNAGH wants in on some that sweet WHO action if THIS story is to be believed. Lastly, on the scuttle front, is JOHN SIMM to return as THE MASTER? Nobody is denying it and he keeps saying in recent interviews (he's promoting a play he is starring in) that he would be back in a shot. Producer JULIE GARDENER recently said that it would be a waste not to have him back. Moving on to merchandise, the company that produce the current range of figures is set to release a classic range of figures! First batch is out next spring and it includes some very interesting choices.... If you fancy bidding on some rare WHO merchandise and, at the same time, helping out the hospice that cared for DAVID TENNANT's mother, then go HERE. Don't be too surprised to see that I am bidding on some items,

This is the tasteful mock-up that THE SUN did. Nice one guys!

Elsewhere in TV land, nothing new. Went through STUDIO 60 ON SUNSET STRIP in a couple of days and was loving it until the 17/18th episode where it suddenly forgot it was funny and went for straight drama with a ridiculous storyline (I won't spoil it for you) that was a cross between 24, THE WEST WING and ER. I was pretty angry by the end 'cos I loved it up until that point, everybody started acting like they were flippin' heroes. No wonder they cancelled it. LUCY DAVIS, from THE OFFICE (the UK version) got a good part in it and it was nice to see her US counterpart JENNA FISCHER put in an appearance too. I encourage you to watch it up until about the 17th episode, then you may want to look away. STILL GAME got a bit better last week with an episode concentrating on characters not normally given so much screen time which was nice. THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE rumbles on, some laughs - but they are getting fewer. Season one of LIFE ON MARS came to end on BBC4 and season two started immediately. Real good stuff and I'm sorry I didn't catch it first time around. Oh, almost forgot, FUTURAMA is back!! Well not quite but 'they' have announced details of the first DVD release out in November, check HERE for full details. I am bloody excited, it seems so long when they first announced this project.

FUTURAMA, it's nearly back.

Film-wise, nothing at the cinema. Watched the new MICHAEL MOORE documentary SICKO and, boy, was that depressing. His focus is sharp in this flick and he does try to keep it upbeat but it is such a sad state of affairs that you cannot but help feel sorry for Americans. He does overstate the point that other countries have got it better rather and his flair for showing off is displayed when he sends an 'enemy' (a guy who runs the biggest anti-Moore website in the world) money to help his wife who was will. Nice, though - cheap trick. Music-wise, 'got' the COLD WAR KIDS release "Robbers & Cowards" and it's rather flippin' good. And so to this week's CDW OF THE WEEK AWARD which, yet again goes to SPEARS. What an effin' f**knuckle of a cumbucket! Nah, hold on. I'll lay off her this week. Instead, I'll give it to KATIE "Look at me! I'm a Zombie" HOLMES. Check out the pic below, is she a robot? Is she????

"Shit, my nickel has ran out!"

A man orders a pizza and is asked if he wants it cut into 6 or 12 pieces.
"Make it 6", he says. "I could never eat 12."

'Til the next time
