"Where's The Chase & How Do I Cut To It?"
Great quote from the most recent FAMILY GUY (in the US) from the usually unfunny Chris, but first up, some rather salacious news on DOCTOR WHO. I say 'news', it's most probably a load of nuts but interesting nonetheless.

Yet another 'BILLIE to return' story but this one kicks it up a notch and adds:K-9, CAPTAIN JACK, SARAH JANE, PETE & JACKIE TYLER, MICKEY SMITH and who else? Oh yes, DAVROS. Click HERE but remember, this is most likely poo and it's from the flippin' DAILY STAR. Click HERE to read about DAVEY T's hopes and wishes in 1988 from his old school (Paisley Grammar) publication "The Grammarian" - there's a scan of it above and below.

Elsewhere on TV, not much. Thursday night saw a new line-up on BBC2 featuring JENNIFER SAUNDERS in THE LIFE & TIMES OF VIVIENNE VYLE (what an incredibly clever title - hem hem) and PETER "The Voice Of Darth Maul" SERAFINOWICZ. I couldn't bear the former for more than two minutes, despite the excellent cast, and the latter was arse-achingly disappointing. I have a lot of love for Peter after his roles in SPACED, BLACK BOOKS and LOOK AROUND YOU but it came to end here. He was very good but the material was painfully outdated. CATHERINE "Oooo crikey" SHEPHERD made an appearance which got my hopes up, but no. Not good. I did geekishly giggle when there was a T-Shirt that read "Star Trek" but was written in the classic STAR WARS font - very clever. Peter also does an awesome ALAN ALDA impression which might have been handy thirty years or so ago when he was famous. The latest episode of THE OFFICE, in the States, was terrific. one of the best yet with me yelping (it's a good thing) even before the titles had rolled. Keep it up guys. Another pic has surfaced from the SEX AND THE CITY movie:

Flashback to a time when they weren't 'slutbags'.

Filming on that movie had some 'hiccups' recently - go HERE. Other film news this week includes the 'citin' news that there may be a sequel to SERENITY. Hope so, go HERE for the 411. Will THE HOBBIT make it the big screen? THIS article gives a full account of just what the flip is going on, interesting stuff. I hope they do make it 'cos it's a much better story than those other books. What were they called again? Oh well, moving on. Has a REBEL ALLIANCE pilot joined CHELSEA? You decide...

John Terry and Nein Numb - who loves Lando more?

Music-wise, I listened to the double CD behemoth that is RADIO 1 ESTABLISHED 1967 - a collection of cover versions performed exclusively for this release. I cannot recall being so overwhelming agitated by the lack of any kind of musical invention. Nothing about this is good, it reeks of inarticulacy and self-reference. Like me, you may be sucked in thinking that the tracks look interesting, but they ain't. Avoid. We did another ace radio show today, check out my FLICKR page for photos of the event. Big props to Lottie and Sandy who have mad radio skills, man. Instead of ending on a joke, I'll leave you with this delicious clip of ELIZABETH TAYLOR - she has just been asked of she'll get married again. Un-effin'-believable....

Schnarf.

'Til the next time,
C.

Increasingly I use your blog to see which of the things I've Sky Plussed that I should erase and not bother with- this week it's the Peter Serawhatsisname.

I was also looking forward to Flight of the Conchords after the radio 2 series but it's been shit as well so have deleted all of that after watching the first one.

And you're right...that's the LAST time I'll dress up as Elizabeth Taylor. But she DOES have a point!

Myself and my flatmate are beyond excited about the prospect of a follow up to Serenity, we saw all the stuff on the boards and of course started theorising as to what would be in it, what do we want in it etc Apparently we also need another few sets of Firefly DVD's to convert people with, God we are just getting scarily geeky now.

Missy, I too was looking forward to Flight of the Conchords but was also disappointed. So much so that I forgot about it and didn't blog it.

I take you ain't get married again? (goes off to howl)

Pinkness,I think everyone's a geek these days so don't worry. As my fave fictional character, Jesus, once said: "The geek shall inherit the Earth".
