Yup, that's coming up, but here's a feature (including clips!) from the press preview of the DOCTOR WHOChristmas Special, VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED, which took place the other night:
And some pix from said event - note the absence of FREEMAand BFFsBILLEand CATHY T....
Oooohhh!
What the eff is she wearing?
Now, that TORCHWOOD trailer. For some inexplicable reason this is from BBC AMERICA. Well, I s'pose it's entirely explicable as they got it first and we, the residents of GREAT BRITAIN(funders of the BBC), did not. Some nice stuff in here:
Film-wise, I caught THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY ROBERT FORD THE COWARD ROBERT FORD and, bloody hell, it was damn good. Apart from the sterling direction (noticeably, the train heist scene) from ANDREW DOMINIK(only his second film!), the performances from BRAD PITT and CASEY AFFLECK were equally impressive. And top marks to SAM ROCKWELLwho, yet again, delivers wonderfully in small (ish) role. Stout work all round guys and I hear the OSCARS calling for that particular flick. Film news now, here's a bit of pre-production artwork from the upcoming GATCHAMANfilm.
An odd re-imagining of 7-ZARK-7.
I was, and still am, a big fan of BATTLE OF THE PLANETSand I'm very intrigued to see what they're gonna do. Hopefully they won't feel the need to stick in some comedy robots like the Yanks did back in the Seventies. Here's a pic from the forthcoming HELLBOY sequel, HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY. It's directed, like the first one, by the genius that is GUILLERMO DEL TORO. He turned down, apparently, I AM LEGEND (what a terrible title for a film) and HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE to do this. Hope it's better than the first one.
