DAISY STEINER says, "Don't Watch SPACED!"
More on the contentious remake of one of the UK's most beloved shows (ever) but first, some WHO-news!

Nice gun!

The trailer for SERIES 4 will hit our screens (in the UK) this Saturday at 7pm(ish) on BBC1 and it looks like it'll be the recent cinema trailer. This would rather strongly hint that DOCTOR WHO will be back on APRIL 5. CATHY T and DAVEY T are doing JONATHAN ROSS on the 4th and TORCHWOOD ends on that night too. Exciting times! In other news, THE SUN picked up on last week's filming; see the story HERE but be warned it features SPOILERY material. According to RTD, there's no 'arc word' for this year (like 'Bad Wolf', 'Torchwood' or 'Saxon') but rather something from each episode will be taken into the finale.

The 'Zaphod Beeblebrox' look is back!

Speaking of TORCHWOOD, this week's (shown last week on BBC3) started off very well with a great performance from JULIAN "Surname: Ross - First Name: Dave" BLEACH but the second half was a mess with a risible solution to the problem. It looked great though. LOST was good and, as I predicted, Ben's man on the boat was indeed Michael. 10 points to me! The quality has slightly dipped in the past couple but the ongoing questions are still being asked, which is nice.

Idol should feature less robots (oh, the satire).

AMERICAN IDOL got the rights to songs by THE BEATLES. That sentence should not exist, but it does. Now we know why JACKO didn't have to sell NEVERLAND. Anyway, preparing for the worst (I am a huge Beatles fan) I watched and was slightly impressed by the song choice featuring: a B-Side, She's A Woman; album tracks, You Can't Do That, If I Fell; as well as the 'classics', Let It Be, I Saw Her Standing There. Good they choose not to oversaturate the singles but bad they choose The Beatles nonetheless. Anyway, someone should have pointed out that these songs already have melodies and the contestants don't need to make up their own, a~holes! One of the little Cs even managed to forget the effin' words! Not once, but four times! It was only We Can Work It Out, not exactly 'wordy'. Some other f~bag also managed, in Eleanor Rigby, to sing "wearing" rather than "darning his socks in the middle of the night." Car~azy! Wearing your socks in the middle of the night, far out man! Interestingly, and I use the word verbosely, whenever I hear (or in this case, see) the words "in the middle of the night" I feel compelled to sing that flippin' BILLY "Named His Son 'Noel'" JOEL song. I see you're doing it too. My gift to you.

Art from the upcoming Miyazaki flick, "Ponyo On The Cliff".

In the results show (yes, I watched that too) the idiots did a Beatles medley which did actually make me tear off a toe~nail and scrape my eyes out while licking the inside of my toaster. Atrocious. Nearly as bad was JIM "Is The New Danny Wallace" CARREY's ill~thought out appearance (not for FOX though) promoting his new film HORTON HEARS A WHO. It made me squirm ladies in Germany. What I will say, though, is that PAULA is really sticking to pumping up the English language; yet again she managed to pronounce the word 'niche' as 'nitch'. Nice work you illiterate cow! The bad news? RYAN promised us more tracks from the Fab Four next week. Gah!

Nice bag, lady.

If the headline got you wondering, "What does Cam mean?" then good, it did its job. Check HERE to see JESSICA "Always Stevenson To Me" HYNES' reaction to the news (as reported here ages ago) that SPACED is being re~done in the US. It's a good read but incredibly saddening. She concludes, "So don't watch it, don't think about it. Save your soul!" SIMON "Toby Young" PEGG recently commented too, you can see his remarks HERE. I, for one, will bide my time before saying how awful it it. I mean, before I decide if it's any good or not...

They did this, it's intentional. Not ironic.

Yup, that is MICHAEL "Office Space" BOLTON with his very own desperate housewife, NICOLETTE "Thought It Was A Good Idead To Get With Michael Bolton" SHERIDAN. I mean, seriously, WTFAYD? Movie-news, and there's a new MUPPET movie coming our way! It's almost 30 years since THE MUPPET MOVIE; ah, happy times. Check it out HERE. New pic from INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL - view it!

Is it wrong to be aroused at this?

Another version of OSCAR WILDE's "The Picture Of Dorian Gray"? You got it, get the 411 THERE. The first film version starring ANGELA "Jessica Fletcher" LANSBURY, was good despite the changes (she was a singer in the film, an actress in the book) and additions (that bloody cat!) New 'one-sheet' for the second ICE AGE sequel, here:

Why are they bothering? Oh yeah, money. It's a pity 'cos I really like the first one but the second one was a merchandising mess of a flick but, despite my protestations, it was bloody successful. Still, the new one's got dinosaurs in it! Speaking of looking sh*t, here's the cover of the new 'album' from MADONNA; it's called HARD CANDY and it's like the Eighties never left us...

Sh*t Candy, more like

'Til the next time,
C.
