When The Hell Is Who?
Still no word on the return of DOCTOR WHO, bah!

US version of WHO in the works?

Last week's TORCHWOOD was a let~down - oh, if you haven't seen it, showing tomorrow night on BBC2, then you might want to skip this paragraph though I won't be revealing any 'spoilers' for it. The tone was a lot lighter, no bad thing, and the story nipped along for the first twenty minutes or so but, by flippity, when the wedding started, so did the groaning (from me). I won't go into detail but the shape~shifter as the various characters was not good. Juvenile dialogue, poor acting - I'm looking at you BARROWMAN - and props (that flippin' gun for example) all let it down.

New monster in TORCHWOOD...

LOST was also not as good as previous weeks but still top notch offering up the tantalising involvement of ALAN "Can't Remember His Character's Name" DALE and the exciting conundrum of BEN's 'man' on the boat. My money (it's not really) is on the return of either WALT or MICHAEL. Nice to see JULIET get some material although I was still hankering after some DESMOND & DANIEL action. AMERICAN IDOL went all 80s and there were some very odd song choices, and by 'odd' I mean good! One of the little brats did the classic "Hallelujah" - and, surprisingly, it was ok; I mean, I didn't want to rip me ears off - which prompted SIMON to comment, "Tim Buckley's version of that is one of my favourite songs of all time." This, in turn, prompted the American public to buy TIM BUCKLEY's track on push it up to number 2 in the iTunes chart!

That's some of the IDOL guys & gals with whats~his~name.

PAULA made me giggle, as always, with her remarks that are becoming more like monologues as the season progresses; she managed to mis~pronounce the word "niche". She garbled, "nitch" instead. Nice one P, you insane cow! SC was also heard to comment - while the audience were still applauding - "Not bad for a stripper" after DAVID "Just Revealed That He Used To Take It Off For Cash" HERNANDEZ performed, get the story HERE. Nice on S, you insane Tim Buckley 'fan'.

What eff happened to her face?

Music~wise, 'got' some new albums, they were: "Rockferry" from DUFFY - a bit samey, lots of mid~tempo numbers; "Join With Us" from THE FEELING - allright if you like listening to QUEEN~lite; "Oracular Spectacular" from MGMT - pretty OK that one, quite interesting and melodic at times; and "Reality Check" from THE TEENAGERS -not great but, lyrically, very amusing with lots of sex~talk going on. Or is that down?

What the eff made her so sad? Oh yeah, her life!

'Til the next time,
C.
