DOCTOR WHO - 'Classic' Series Figures
Like wow!

Where's the miniature SARAH JANE?

This was announced waaaay back but now the carazy bastids at CHARACTER OPTIONS have released some images of the first in a new range (due for release in August) of figures devoted top the 'classic' (remember classic does not mean better or even, in some cases, good) series of DOCTOR WHO. When you buy a figure you get a piece of a robot, from the imaginatively titled ROBOT; get all the figures and you get to build the big guy! First up, Doctors 4, 5 and 6:

Scarf, check; Hat, check; Sonic, check; Two heads, check...

No celery, thankfully.

'Interestingly', I have a cat~badge just like he did.

The TOM "You've Had It Mate, You're Not Getting On The New Series" BAKER figure comes with a removable head. Apparently it's easier to make head with a hat rather than a hat itself. I'm glad they gave him different facial expressions though and I'm sure there will be variations on TOMMY B's portrayal of the Time Lord as he did wear a few different (even if only slightly) costumes. The PETEY D one is great apart from his face whilst the COLIN "Bet He's Glad He's Getting A Figure" BAKER is sublime in every department. Pity no~one will want it though... (joke) Now, here's the 'baddies'!

If you look closely, you can see the mic. Just like the real thing!

Now tell me, just why does this guy wear clothes again?

The ZYGON looks OK, a bit forlorn looking though (where's the 'terror'?) and the less said about the feet the better. Much better job with the SEA DEVIL. Stout work there. Next up it's a TALONS OF WENG CHIANG two~pack.

Early version of The Krankies...

Aww, look a little MR SIN. How cute.... There is also a DALEK pack coming too, featuring one each from: their first appearance in THE DEAD PLANET; the yawn~fest that is PLANET OF THE DALEKS; and the genuinely classic and good, GENESIS OF THE DALEKS. Sadly, there's no pics. Finally, here's some VOCs from THE ROBOTS OF DEATH - Yowzaa! One of my favourite stories fact~fans.

I loved last year's Christmas Special. Oh, wait a minute...

'Til the next time,
C.
