BBC NEWS GET IT WRONG!
Or "Where Are The Fact~Checkers?"

Keep smiling darlin', the spaceship will be here soon to take you away...

Lazy journalism really bothers me and THIS article from the BEEB website got right on my tits. Not only is the story a bit of a nothing, there's some high~lariously erroneous 'facts' in there. First up, the story itself - a sequel to KUNG FU PANDA, according to the headline, is "in the pipeline". Now, as revealed in the story, it is not. All that has been said is that "talks" will take place in the next couple of months, hardly concrete confirmation. What was confirmed was that there will definitely be at least one more sequel to MADAGASCAR. That should have been the story. But that, dear reader is not what irked me so much - even though that in itself is typical of UK journos making a story out of nothing.

Penn auditions for The Eleventh Doctor.

According to the article Kung Fu Panda, in global ticket sales, is DREAMWORKS' "most successful movie" and has "surpassed the SHREK franchise". Now let me address a couple of points here: [1] Dreamworks have 4 more successful films; and [2] Two of these films are SHREK 2 and SHREK THE THIRD. In no way has Kung Fu Panda surpassed the Shrek franchise and in no way is it the company's most successful movie. What is true is that Kung Fu Panda has surpassed the original Shrek flick in sales and that is perhaps what this numb~nut was so poorly trying to convey.

Never Gonna Give It Up

Lastly, it is just supremely lazy not to check these facts out - check out BOX OFFICE MOJO or IMDB for two independent sources. I did it in about 5 seconds and even my own brain told me how wrong this sorry 'story' was. And, as I previously stated, I use the word 'story' quite wrongly just as the BBC use 'facts' in a most misleading way.

Is that a zip on the front of her crotch? For easy access?

'Til the next time,
C.
